The construction of the P898-million Negros Occidental Provincial Administration Center (PAC) is set to be completed by next year.
Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz said the project management team will provide quarterly updates on the accomplishment report to keep track of the progress of the construction.
Funds for the project were sourced from a bank loan in 2018, and payments to a contractor are being made through progress billing.
Originally scheduled to be finished on February 26, 2022, the project faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new completion date of the PAC is October 15, 2024.
Once completed, various departments and offices housed by the provincial government will be transferred to the new building.
Diaz and Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson will continue to maintain their offices at the Provincial Capitol./DGB, WDJ
