Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said his State of the Province Address (SOPA) on August 8 at the Session Hall of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan will be a simple event.
According to Lacson, all department heads have already submitted their respective accomplishment reports, and asked them to make their reports shorter.
There are also no high-profile guests during SOPA, as the governor wants a simple program.
He also hopes that no problems will arise, particularly with the food that will be served for attendees.
The provincial government hired their regular caterer, he added.
During the State of the City Address of Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Benitez on July 5, an issue surfaced after the guests were served spoiled food.
The caterer for the event would later issue an apology over the incident./DGB, WDJ
