A payment collector was shot along the road at Purok Sabes in Bacolod City’s Barangay Villamonte yesterday noon.

Wilfredo Loreno Jr., a collector for a motorcycle dealer, and a resident of the city’s Barangay Vista Alegre, sustained a gunshot wound to the back of his head.

He was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The initial information revealed Loreno only meant to collect payment from a store, when he was suddenly shot by the two unidentified suspects while at the premises.

An investigation is ongoing./WDJ
