A pedicab driver was stabbed to death at Barangay 1 in Negros Occidental’s San Carlos City on Sunday, July 30.

Police identified the fatality as 60-year-old Abner Valiente, a resident of the city’s Barangay 3.

An initial investigation showed the victim was allegedly stabbed by 43-year-old Jeffrey Mabilog following a heated argument.

The suspect allegedly drew an improvised ice pick and stabbed Valiente several times in his chest.

He was rushed to San Carlos City Hospital but he was declared dead on arrival.

Mabilog is now under police custody./WDJ
