A couple died after a sports utility vehicle (SUV) crashed into their motorcycle along the national highway at Barangay Bagumbayan in Negros Occidental’s Valladolid town yesterday morning.

Town police chief, Major Eric Doronila identified the couple as 73-year-old Alfredo and 62-year-old Felicidad Barte, residents of Hinigaran town.

Police said the motorcycle was supposed to turn left when the SUV, driven by 53-year-old Dale King, accidentally crashed into the vehicle.

Alfredo was dead on arrival at the hospital.

Felicidad died while undergoing treatment.

King was in the custodial facility of the police station.

An investigation is ongoing./WDJ
