A P306,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated at Barangay General Luna in Negros Occidental’s Toboso town on July 13.

Ricky Tocaste, 33 years old, a resident of the said village, was arrested during a drug buy-bust operation by the town police.

Recovered from him were 45 grams of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, P500 marked money, and a weighing scale, town police chief Major Jun Ray Batadlan said.

Batadlan said Tocaste was arrested back in 2017 for the same violation, but was released from jail by plea.

His name was linked to the drug trade, but he allegedly did not stop engaging in the illegal activity, he added.

Tocaste is facing charges in relation to the sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs./WDJ
