The head of the Security and Safety Division (SSD) of Negros Occidental provincial government said yesterday that the recovery of two 9mm bullets at the Negros Occidental Food Terminal Market did not pose a threat.
SSD head Renelo Lastierre said the owner of the bullets, whom he requested not be identified, approached them on the day the bullets were found.
According to the owner, he accidentally left the bullets on the market stairs and returned after discovering that some of his belongings were missing.
Lastierre said they did a thorough identity check on the individual to find out if he really left the bullets there as a “threat.”
He added the incident is now considered “case closed.”
Despite the completion of their investigation, a personnel has requested to review their findings into the recovered bullets to clarify the incident./DGB, WDJ
