A driver was found dead and riddled with bullets inside a van on the roadside at Barangay Matab-ang in Negros Occidental’s Talisay City yesterday morning.

Police identified the fatality as 33-year-old Brian Mark Agillo, a resident of Hernaez Street in Bacolod City’s Barangay 36.

Talisay City police spokesperson, Police Lt. Abegael Donasco said at around 5:00 a.m., a security guard noticed a white van parked on the roadside along Hacienda Manaol.

He saw Agillo slumped in the driver’s seat, which prompted him to call the authorities.

Agillo was later identified by his wife.

Police said Agillo sustained a gunshot wound to the head, and two gunshot wounds to the back.

Police also recovered an empty bullet cartridge inside the vehicle.

Donasco added they are still trying to determine the motive behind the murder./DGB, WDJ
