Two brothers and their aunt were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation at Barangay 5 in Negros Occidental’s Silay City on Monday afternoon, June 19. 

The operatives confiscated eight plastic sachets of suspected shabu worth P88,400 from the suspects, 26-year-old Bernard and 22-year-old Alfred Arturo; and 36-year-old Jenny Pada-on, all residents of the city’s Barangay 2.

The suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Silay Police Station chief, Lt. Colonel Mark Darroca said the target of the operation was Bernard, a high-value individual.

He was released from imprisonment through a plea bargaining agreement for the same violation in 2021.
