A 31-year-old man was injured after he was shot by an unidentified suspect at Purok Cheriza 2 in Bacolod City’s Barangay 27 on Friday night, June 16.

The victim was identified as John Ryan Laya-on, a resident of the city’s Barangay Handumanan.

According to Police Station 4 investigator, Police Staff Sergeant Ronald Decatoria, the victim was in a drinking session with his two friends when a man wearing a helmet entered and shot him three times.

His two friends immediately rushed the victim to the hospital.

Two empty bullets were recovered from the crime scene.

Decatoria confirmed the victim was also shot last month, and the person of interest has been charged.

The police are currently trying to get a copy of the closed-circuit television footage in the area./WDJ
