A 28-year-old man who succumbed to hack wounds was found at Barangay Bacuyangan in Negros Occidental’s Hinoba-an town.

The victim, identified as Jerry del Carmen, a resident of the said place, was found by Danilo Noquira of Barangay San Rafael, at 7:50 a.m. on Monday, June 12. 

Noquira told the police that while he was on his way to his farm, he found the victim lying on the ground with hacked wounds on his neck and head.

Immediately, he informed San Rafael village chief Florentino Capangpangan and later informed the local police station for assistance. 

The cadaver was taken to a funeral home for a post-mortem examination. 

Police records showed Del Carmen was accused of murder on April 14, 2022 in the town’s Barangay Bacuyangan, but his case was dismissed by the Regional Trial Court-Branch 61 in Kabankalan City./MS, WDJ
