Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez plans to reshuffle some department heads at the city hall.
This was disclosed by Benitez in a media interview yesterday, after a meeting with executive assistants at the City Mayor’s Office.
However, he is yet to disclose how many departments or offices will be affected by the plan, pending an assessment of their performance.
“Plano pa lang sang reshuffling. Lantawon ta kun pila ang maapektuhan kay na-assess ta man anay sila tanan sa ila performance. If indi sila magiho sang aton handum nga matabo for the city, we might have to look for somebody to do a better job,” Benitez said.
During the said meeting, Benitez said they had discussed the upcoming State of the City Address (SOCA) scheduled on July 5 during the Sangguniang Panlungsod regular session.
The SOCA will be composed of the concept — live, work and play.
“These include health, housing, beautification, and peace and order leading to one direction and one destination in order for us to know where to go,” Benitez stressed.
Meanwhile, the mayor said he would validate the information that there were job order casuals in the city government allegedly roaming around to campaign for a “yes” vote in the plebiscite for the proposed joint venture agreement (JVA) between Central Negros Electric Cooperative and Primelectric Holdings.
“Validate ko lang kay bag-o ko lang nabatian, kay may ara na sila DTR [daily time record] dapat. So naga-report na sila kun diin sila na-assign, kun wala sila nagakadto sa ila assignment, ma-mark sila absent,” the mayor cited.
He added that officials of Primelectric are scheduled to meet him to present the JVA, as they had already presented it to the city council last week./MS, WDJ
