The police chief in Negros Occidental’s Bago City is calling on anyone with missing loved ones to visit or contact their station to identify the remains recovered in the city’s Barangay Dulao on Friday, June 9.
Lt. Colonel Joem Malong said they still do not have information regarding the identity of the remains.
Malong said no family has inquired about the incident at the moment.
He added that the body was found lying face down, wearing black shorts, with no upper garments and slippers.
The victim also had a tribal tattoo design on his left shoulder, but it had already darkened.
He is estimated to be between 30 and 35 years old, and approximately 5’4″ in height.
Local residents told the police that they heard a gunshot last June 4, but they have yet to confirm if it was from a firearm.
A post-mortem examination cannot confirm whether there are any stab wounds on the body, or if the injuries were caused by a blunt object or a fall./DGB, WDJ
