A man was stabbed to death by two suspects at Barangay Mansalanao in Negros Occidental’s La Castellana town on Sunday, June 4.

Dennis Cornelio was dead on arrival at a hospital, La Castellana police said.

The suspects — Willie and Rodgie Hilado, residents of the village’s Hda. Montinola — had heated arguments with the victim prior to the incident.

Cornelio was stabbed on his way home.

The two suspects remained at-large as of press time, police said.

Meanwhile, 52-year-old laborer Jose Ebien Prado succumbed to a gunshot wound in Isabela town’s Barangay Cabcab on June 3.

He was allegedly shot by 33-year-old Renante Marfil, Isabela police said.

They engaged in a drinking spree before the shooting incident, police added.

The suspect was arrested during a pursuit operation.

A homemade 12-gauge shotgun with two live ammunition was retrieved at the crime scene./WDJ
