The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) reported yesterday morning that this year’s Bacolod Chicken Inasal Festival was “generally peaceful.”

BCPO spokesperson, Police Lt. Colonel Sherlock Gabana said no major incidents happened during the three-day festivities which wrapped up on Sunday night, May 28.

Gabana thanked the public for their cooperation, and to the force multipliers who have helped them in securing the festivities.

The three-day Bacolod Chicken Inasal Festival returned following a three-year hiatus brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.

More than 600 personnel from the Bacolod City Police Office, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Coast Guard, Bacolod Traffic Authority, and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office were deployed to maintain peace and order during the festivities./DGB, WDJ
