Police operatives confiscated suspected shabu and a firearm from the suspect subjected to a search warrant in Negros Occidental’s Silay City on Thursday, May 25.

Diego Pelaez, 49 years old, a resident of the city’s Barangay Lantad, was detained at the Silay City Police Station.

Police said a total of 14 plastic sachets of suspected shabu valued at P68,000 and a caliber .38 revolver with ammunition were seized from Pelaez.

The suspect is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./MS, WDJ
