Four individuals were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation inside a videoke bar at Barangay Balintawak in Negros Occidental’s Escalante City on Tuesday afternoon, May 23.

Police arrested 40-year-old Victorino Canillo of Toboso town; 49-year-old Jocelyn Mendoza of Don Salvador Benedicto town; and 20-year-old Roy Comawas and 46-year-old Rutchie Agohayon, both residents of Sagay City.

Six plastic sachets of suspected shabu valued at P61,500 were confiscated from them.

The four were taken to the local police station for detention, pending the filing of charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./MS, WDJ
