The Negros Occidental provincial government is mulling an investigation into their employee over an alleged sexual harassment incident.
According to an anonymous source in the Capitol, the incident took place during last month’s Panaad sa Negros Festival.
The said “high ranking” employee allegedly groped a female supplier of the provincial government while drunk.
The employee was also reported to be a “repeat offender” and had faced a separate complaint for misbehaving in the past.
Provincial administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz said his office has yet to receive a complaint against the involved employee.
They will immediately respond if they receive a formal complaint from the victim, he added.
Diaz said he was not aware of such an incident during the Panaad festivities.
He added that there are “no sacred cows” in the provincial government and vowed that the case will be heard once a complaint is lodged./DGB, WDJ
