A man was arrested after he allegedly stole electrical cable wires along Araneta Street in Bacolod City’s Barangay Singcang-Airport.
Police identified the arrested as 38-year-old Neil Celestre, a resident of Jupiter Street, Hillside Subdivision in the city’s Mansilingan village.
Police Station 8 commander, Police Captain Glenn Montaño, said operatives from the Bacolod City Mobile Force Company were conducting a patrol when they chanced up Celestre and two other unidentified accomplices allegedly cutting cable wires.
The two suspects immediately bolted after spotting the police, while Celestre was left behind.
Authorities recovered P13,000 worth of cable wire from the suspect.
Celestre is facing theft charges and is detained at the police station.
