For the second consecutive day, a lone bettor in Iloilo became an instant millionaire after hitting the P225 million jackpot of the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw on Friday night, May 12.
In an advisory over the weekend, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) general manager Melquiades Robles said the bettor’s winning combination 14-05-44-25-01-36 of the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw carried a total jackpot prize of P225,248,638.
The ticket was purchased in Iloilo’s Pavia town.
Winners have one year from the date of the draw to claim the prize, as specified in Republic Act 1169, the law on PCSO lotteries.
All jackpot prizes must be claimed at the PCSO main office in Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.
Winners must write their names and signature on the back of the winning tickets and present two government-issued identification cards or documents.
Lotto winnings of more than P10,000 are subject to 20 percent tax under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law.
Meanwhile, 75 others won P32,000 each for guessing five out of the six winning digits, while 4,002 will get P1,000 each for four correct digits, and 73,108 will settle for P30 each for three correct digits.
The 6/45 Mega Lotto is drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
This is the third time this month that a lone bettor won the jackpot.
A lone bettor from Iloilo City became an instant millionaire after they hit the P44 million jackpot of the Lotto 6/42 draw on Thursday night, May 11, while a lone bettor from San Pedro, Laguna bagged the jackpot of P55.3 million of the Grand Lotto 6/55 on May 6.
For only P20 per ticket, anyone can have the chance to become an instant millionaire, as the PCSO urges the public to patronize their games, as a large chunk of revenue goes to charity programs. (PNA)
