The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) will try their best to solve cases of “dumping dead bodies” in the city after Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez did not give them a timeline.

BCPO acting director, Colonel Noel Aliño said yesterday they will do their best so that these incidents will no longer happen.

“Sino ba naman ang may gusto?” Aliño asked.

He also stated that the victims came outside the city and were only dumped in Bacolod, as one of the victims was identified by his family from Negros Occidental’s Silay City.

The police are still investigating to determine the identity of the victims.

Earlier this week, Benitez, during a press conference at the Bacolod City Government Center, said the BCPO already knew what they should do.

“I will give them more time to perform. But of course, it’s the concern of everybody, so it should not happen again,” he said.

“No need for a timeline. It should not happen again, period,” he added.

On April 30, two human remains were found inside a culvert pipe along the Economic Highway at Hacienda Sayson in the city’s Barangay Felisa.

One victim, placed inside the sack, was found naked, while the other was wearing long pants.

Two days later, the decomposing man’s body was found inside a sack along the Economic Highway, at Purok Ipil-Ipil in the city’s Barangay Cabug.

The victim was identified by his siblings in a funeral parlor in Bago City’s Barangay Taloc./MS, WDJ
