Three people were injured after a sports utility vehicle (SUV) crashed into a tricycle on Araneta Street, Purok Medalla Milagrosa in Bacolod City’s Barangay Sum-ag yesterday afternoon.
The injured were identified as tricycle passengers 58-year-old Brigada Delicano and 60-year-old Ma. Lucia Mata, both residents of the village’s San Benito; and 58-year-old Remo Yulo, a resident of Purok Medalla Milagrosa.
The victims sustained injuries to various parts of the body and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The SUV’s driver was identified as 58-year-old Christopher Jacildo, a resident of Regent Pearl Homes Subdivision in the city’s Barangay Alijis.
According to Police Station 9, traffic investigator Police Staff Sergeant Roland Abong, Jacildo reportedly had lost control of his vehicle.
Abong also clarified that Jacildo was not drunk and he was on his way home from work.
He confirmed that the driver would provide medical assistance to the victims.
Jacildo was also taken to the hospital after his blood pressure increased./WDJ
