Three individuals were facing drug and illegal gambling charges following their arrest in Bacolod City’s Barangay 2 on Thursday afternoon, April 27.

The suspects were 56-year-old Silvestre Miag-ao and 27-year-old Revy Baldon, both residents of Barangay 2; and 27-year-old Argie Maraasin, a resident of Negros Occidental’s Talisay City.

They were apprehended after elements of Police Station 2 conducted an anti-illegal gambling operation in the area where they caught them playing cara y cruz.

Police recovered from the suspects’ possession an estimated three grams of suspected shabu worth P20,400.

An ongoing investigation is being conducted to locate the origin of the suspected illegal drugs.

According to the Bacolod City Police Office, the operation is in line with the aggressive anti-illegal drugs and gambling campaign of the Philippine National Police./MS, WDJ
