A man was shot to death in Negros Occidental’s Calatrava town on Tuesday afternoon, April 25.

Gilbert Claro, 37 years old, a resident of the town’s Barangay Paghumayan was allegedly gunned down by suspect Reymark Cabriana, of legal age and a resident of the said place.

A police investigation disclosed that Cabriana followed the victim along the way and, for no apparent reason, he allegedly shot Claro several times using a firearm of unknown caliber.

The victim was rushed to Calatrava Municipal Health Office but was declared dead on arrival.

The suspect fled to an unknown direction after the incident.

A pursuit operation is being conducted by the local police station./MS, WDJ
