Two brothers were accused of allegedly stealing a refrigerator unit at Barangay Camugao in Negros Occidental’s Kabankalan City.

The accused were brothers Denny Gasataya, 37 years old, and Lawrence Gabriel, 32 years old, of the said place.

The 72-year-old Connie Reyes reported to police that her refrigerator, worth P30,000, was allegedly stolen by the suspects inside her residence on Tuesday morning, April 25.

Police said the suspects allegedly entered the house by destroying the door knob.

The local police apprehended Denny, while Lawrence Gabriel fled to an unknown direction.

The refrigerator was recovered from the suspects’ residence.

Denny is currently in the custody of the police station./MS, WDJ
