A former drug suspect was shot dead inside a computer shop at Purok Langis in Bacolod City’s Barangay Banago early Monday morning, April 24.

Edcel Mike Diaz, 26 years old, of the city’s Barangay Granada village was sitting inside the internet shop when a lone gunman entered the establishment.

The still unidentified assailant shot Diaz at point blank range, killing him on the spot.

Meanwhile, 26-year-old John Divinagracia of Barangay Banago’s Purok Langis was accidentally hit by a stray bullet in the foot.

Police Station 3 commander, Captain Armilyn Vargas, said Diaz was previously arrested on drug-related charges, but he was released after securing a plea bargaining agreement.

Vargas said they already have a person of interest.

The motive is yet to be determined./DGB, WDJ
