The first two days of the 2023 Panaad sa Negros Festival was a huge success as it generated P3.6 million in sales, data from the Negros Occidental provincial government and the festival organizers showed.
The festival’s first day income was at P1.7 million and P1.9 million on the second day.
The total figure comprises product sales from the local government unit pavilions, food kiosks and the various trade fairs.
More festival activities are lined up until Sunday, April 23, and the organizers are expecting that the Lin-ay sang Negros Pageant scheduled today, April 21, will draw a larger crowd.
The Panaad sa Negros Festival, which opened last Monday, April 17, is dubbed the “Festival of all Festivals” in the province.
It went on hiatus for three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic./DGB, WDJ
