Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson encouraged thousands of Negrenses who have witnessed the opening of the Panaad sa Negros Festival on Monday afternoon, April 17, to support the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the province.
Lacson, together with Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco and local chief executives in the province graced the festival’s opening ceremonies at the Panaad Park and Stadium.
During his speech, Lacson thanked God for allowing them to celebrate the festival once again.
He is also grateful for the participation of all local government units in the province for their contribution and support of the festival.
Panaad sa Negros was held for the first time under Lacson’s term as governor.
Dubbed the “Festival of all Festivals” in Negros Occidental, it was also held following a three-year hiatus brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lacson said the celebration of the festival is a symbol of the Negrense’s triumphs and resilience./DGB, WDJ
