Another severed hand was recovered at Purok Riverside’s Ilang-Ilang Street in Bacolod City’s Barangay Bata yesterday morning.
Police Station 3 commander, Captain Armilyn Vargas, said they are still trying to determine who owns the severed hand.
The chopped off body part included a piece of paper with a name and a warning saying, “Protector, kawatan, pang-holdap imo ubra, bulang pa more ah!”
According to Vargas, the name is reportedly a police operative assigned to Police Station 5.
Authorities have yet to determine the possible motive behind the severed hand, the third incident to happen in the city.
Earlier in January, a pair of severed hands was found inside an ice cream container containing beef stew.
A piece of paper with names of several illegal drug suspects was also found at Purok Kagaykay in the city’s Barangay 2.
Last month, another body part — a pair of severed human feet — was dumped beside a gasoline station along C.L. Montelibano Street in the city’s Barangay Villamonte./DGB, WDJ
