A live-in couple was killed due to multiple gunshot wounds after their house was allegedly strafed by unidentified assailants at Barangay San Isidro in Negros Occidental’s Toboso town on Saturday morning, April 15.

Police identified the fatalities as 60-year-old Leonardo Lagada and Miguela Hedorio, of legal age.

The initial investigation disclosed that the couple was inside of their home when four unidentified persons arrived at their residence.

The suspects told Lagada to go out but he refused.

Instead, he locked the door of their house.

This prompted the suspects to shoot several times at the house, which caused multiple gunshot wounds to the victims.

Police said Lagada tried to go out of their house after the strafing.

Recovered from the crime scene were several empty shells of different kinds of firearms.
