A man was arrested over suspected shabu at Barangay Tagda in Negros Occidental’s Hinigaran town yesterday morning.

The suspect was identified as 41-year-old Edmar Omero, a resident of the village’s Punta Pasil.

According to Hinigiran Municipal Police Station, they received a complaint from the suspect’s wife, 32-year-old Mercy Omero, that her husband was messing up.

There was a heated argument between the couple inside their house, police said.

A coin purse containing four packets of suspected shabu weighing 0.42 grams and a homemade .38 revolver were recovered from the suspect.

He was charged with violation of the Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022; and RA 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./WDJ
