A farmer was shot to death by an unidentified assailant in Negros Occidental’s Moises Padilla town.
Police identified the fatality as 63-year-old Danilo Bedaja, a resident of the town’s Barangay Macagahay.
A police investigation disclosed that Bedaja went to his farm to mow the grass in his cassava plantation.
Several gun shots were heard by his son, who was in their house 300 meters away.
The son saw his father lying on the ground lifeless, police said.
Authorities said that the victim succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.
The motive in the killing is yet to be determined./MS, WDJ
