A man died after he was allegedly stabbed by his elder brother, who was having a heated argument with their nephew.
Jaime Javier, 46 years old, of Barangay Paitan in Negros Occidental’s Escalante City succumbed to a stab wound to his stomach.
Police identified the suspect as the 49-year-old George Javier of the said place.
Investigations disclosed that at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, April 7, while the siblings and their nephew, Melton Gegoncillio, had a drinking session at the house of Remuldegario Muñez, a heated argument ensued between George and his nephew.
George took a bolo but accidentally hit Jaime, police said.
The suspect surrendered to the responding local police officers.
Recovered from the crime scene was a bolo measuring 18 inches long./MS, WDJ
