Bacolod diocese reshuffles parish priests

The Diocese of Bacolod announced a major reshuffling of parish priests in the diocese during the Chrism Mass at San Sebastian Cathedral on Maundy Thursday, April 6.

Based on the new appointments within the diocese, Rev. Fr. Ronaldo Quijano is now the new vicar general, while Fr. Rene Gaylon was appointed as oeconomus.

The new chancellor of the diocese is Fr. Marvin Labasan, while judicial vicar is Fr. Dominic Derramas.

Fr. Chris Gonzales was appointed as pastoral director, while Fr. Gregorio Neri was named as the diocese’s property custodian.

The diocese’s vicar, Forane, was also reshuffled with Fr. Noli Blancaflor appointed as Vicar for Victorias City, Fr. Joevic Lemoncito for Silay City, Fr. Ronaldo Quijano for San Sebastian Cathedral, and Fr. Mitchel Guadalupe for the Redemptorist Church.

Also appointed as vicar is Fr. Rayman Asoy for San Antonio Abad Parish, Fr. Joel Roquez for Alijis, Fr. Orlando Gargar for the Our Lady of Triumph Parish, Fr. Salvador Barcelona for Murcia, Fr. Lou-an Torrefranca for Sum-ag, Fr. Jesmar Manato for Bago City, Fr. Notdel Soriano for La Carlota City, and Fr. Alfredo Gamarcha for Hinigaran.

The reshuffling of priests will come into effect on May 15./DGB, WDJ
