A woman was nabbed in a drug buy-bust operation in Bacolod City’s Barangay 2 on Tuesday night, April 4.
Police arrested 55-year-old Belinda Cuadra, a resident of the village’s Purok Sigay.
Police Captain Jonito Pastrana, Station 2 commander, said Cuadra sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer.
Nine sachets of suspected shabu worth P102,000 were recovered from the suspect.
Cuadra is facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and is currently detained at Police Station 2.
She admitted serving time in prison for selling illegal drugs in 2017.
Meanwhile, police said she was the mother of former drug suspect, Ma. Chin Chin Grace Cuadra whose name was listed in a recovered note which included two severed hands in January of this year.
Chin Chin had already submitted herself to the authorities in January, and admitted that she had previously been arrested for an illegal drug charge.
She was released after securing a plea bargain agreement.
Pastrana also confirmed that Belinda is also the mother of notorious robbery group leader, Arnold “Aki” Cuadra, who was found dead with three of his fellow robbery group members last year./DGB, WDJ
