A motorcycle rider died while seven were injured in a road accident at Barangay Busay in Negros Occidental’s Bago City on Saturday afternoon, April 1.

Police identified the fatality as 48-year-old Rolando Suello of Hillside Subdivision in Bacolod City’s Barangay Mansilingan.

His motorcycle accidentally bumped into a tricycle driven by Benjie Magbanua.

Magbanua and his passengers — Sheena Marie Magbanua, Roselyn Sunio, Jonna Marie Plemones, Michelle Sangria, Glymaine Jaban, and Welhen Flores, all residents of Barangay Busay — sustained injuries to different parts of their bodies.

They were brought to Bago City Hospital for treatment.

Police said Suello overlapped the opposite lane and bumped the tricycle.

Suello was declared dead on arrival, police said./WDJ
