The Bacolod City Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) implemented a city ordinance imposing curfew for minors.
POSO head Primitivo Tabujara said the curfew for minors from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. took effect recently in selected areas only, such as Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC), Old City Hall and at Bacolod City Public Plaza.
The said ordinance was implemented after the office received many complaints citing that the BCGC is no longer safe for domestic and foreign visitors, Tabujara said.
The POSO and the Bacolod City Police Office Station 4 deployed their personnel to guard the BCGC particularly during night time.
No fine or penalties will be imposed on the apprehended minors but their parents will be reprimanded, Tabujara stressed./MS, WDJ
