The No. 2 most wanted person in Negros Occidental’s Manapla town is facing an additional charge of possessing an unlicensed firearm.
The 38-year-old Ronald Baloran of the town’s Barangay San Pablo was arrested for a qualified statutory rape charge in Cadiz City’s Barangay Burgos on Wednesday afternoon, March 29.
The Manapla police served the arrest warrant issued by Judge Leonardo Facultad, Jr. of the Regional Trial Court-Branch 69.
However, police recovered from the suspect a .38 revolver with two ammunition.
Baloran was detained at the Manapla police station.
The court recommended no bail bond for his temporary liberty for the rape charge.
He is also facing charges of violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./MS, WDJ
