Human remains already in the early state of decomposition were recovered at Barangay Damsite in Negros Occidental’s Murcia town late yesterday morning.

Authorities have yet to identify the remains as of press time.

In a radio interview, Damsite village chief Regie Burata said a local resident trying to fish in a nearby river found a sack.

They opened the sack and saw the remains.

On March 15, a sack containing human bones was also recovered in the same area.

Police have yet to say if both incidents are connected./DGB, WDJ
