The Office of the Building Official (OBO) served the first notice of violation to the owner of the cockpit under construction at Purok Paghidaet in Bacolod City’s Barangay Tangub on Thursday, March 23.
According to OBO head Isidro Sun, the proposed cockpit had no building permit.
Sun said the owner was given until next week to come up with a building plan as a requirement in securing the permit.
Failure to do so, the OBO will issue another notice of violation and will refer this to the City Legal Office, he added.
It was learned that members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod granted a resolution of no objection (RONO) to the proponent of the said cockpit.
The RONO was not part of the requirements in securing the building permit, Sun explained.
He said in processing building permits, the applicants must secure zoning and fire compliance certificates and the building plan./MS, WDJ
