Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Benitez directed city hall department heads to remove all television sets in their respective offices.
This was after five city hall employees were issued a notice to explain by the City Legal Office why they were watching a TV program during office hours.
On his Facebook post, Benitez said that a photo was sent to him by a concerned citizen showing employees watching TV at 3:00 p.m.
Benitez reminds all city hall employees of their pledge to the city residents.
“Sapagkat ako’y isang kawani ng gobyerno at tungkulin ko ang maglingkod ng tapat at mahusay sa bayan ko at sa panahong ito,” Benitez said in his post./MS, WDJ
