A three-year-old boy drowned in a water drum inside the bathroom at Hacienda Rosario Sur in Bacolod City’s Barangay Granada.

The boy’s father, sugarcane laborer Junerey Villarosa, was home from work and fell asleep.

When he woke up, his child was no longer beside him.

The boy’s mother was also at work when the incident happened.

Granada village chief Alfredo Talimodao said he brought the child to the hospital, but he was dead on arrival.

Talimodao added that the barangay would provide financial assistance to the family for the burial./MS, WDJ
