A house was totally gutted, while another suffered extensive damage in a fire at San Mateo Annex in Bacolod City’s Barangay Banago on Sunday night, March 12.
Based on information from the Bureau of Fire Protection in Bacolod, they received a fire call at 8:12 p.m. at the house owned by Virginia Rojas, a village health worker.
The fire only reached first alarm status.
A fire out was declared at 8:39 p.m.
Aside from Rojas’ house, the home of Roger Gudaca also suffered damage in the blaze.
According to witnesses, there was nobody home as the family went out for dinner.
No one was hurt in the blaze but damages were estimated at around P126,000.
Investigators are still determining the cause of the blaze./DGB, WDJ
