Five drug suspects were arrested and more than P500,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in two separate buy-bust operations on Wednesday, March 1.

Police apprehended Herfrance Tuhao, 21 years old, and his minor girlfriend at Barangay Palampas’ Hacienda Sta. Ana in Negros Occidental’s San Carlos City at around 9:00 p.m.

Tuhao was a high-value suspect.

Authorities seized 18 plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 63.5 grams and valued at P431,868, and P1,000 buy-bust money.

Meanwhile, in Victorias City’s Barangay 6, suspects Jerry Magallanes, 44 years old; Loremae Combate, 36 years old; and Daniel Isuga, 18 years old, all residents of the said place, were arrested at 1:42 p.m.

They yielded 17 sachets, weighing 20 grams, of suspected shabu valued at P136,000.

The five suspects were being held at their respective local police stations.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, were filed against them./MS, WDJ
