A motorcycle driver was dead on the spot after he was accidentally run over by a truck at Barangay E. Lopez in Negros Occidental’s Silay City on February 19.

Antonio Granada, 30 years old, of Barangay Camang-Camang’s Sitio Mantabanon in Isabela town, was run over by a truck driven by Walden Gale of Silay City.

A police investigation showed that the truck was traveling northward, while the motorcycle was trailing behind.

Granada suddenly overtook the truck on the left side of the road and lost control of his motorcycle. He was thrown onto the road and the truck ran over him.

Gale is now detained, police said./WDJ
