A sugar planter who had just encashed his quedan worth P500,000 was shot dead at Barangay Robles in Negros Occidental’s La Castellana town.
Saturnino Suprales, 55 years old, of Moises Padilla town’s Barangay Montilla, was on his way home with the money.
He was riding his motorcycle from a sugar central in La Carlota City.

Two persons alighted, shot him several times and carted the victim’s bag containing the money.
A witness disclosed that Suprales attempted to fight back against the suspects.
