Several prime properties owned by the Negros Occidental provincial government are currently up for development, according to Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson.

Lacson is referring to the current lots occupied by a commercial bank and the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) in Negros Occidental, and the lot utilized previously by the Land Transportation Office.

All of the lots are located along Cottage Road and Lacson Street in Bacolod City.

Lacson said the BSP will be transferred to the same location as the Girl Scout of the Philippines in the province, while the commercial bank will likely be relocated to another lot owned by the provincial government.

According to Lacson, they are planning to develop the area into a hub for business process outsourcing companies.

Earlier this month, the Land Transportation Office moved to its new location at Sitio Manayaosayao in Bacolod’s Barangay Mansilingan./DGB, WDJ
