A man was stabbed at Barangay Montilla’s Sitio Manlama in Negros Occidental’s Moises Padilla town on Sunday night, February 5.

Police identified the victim as Ronilo Betongga, 43 years old, while the suspect was Joebet Pineda, 40 years old. Both were residents of the said place.

Town police chief, Major Joevito Bose said the suspect stabbed Betongga using a long knife.

The two were under the influence of alcohol when the stabbing happened, Bose said.

Betongga is under treatment while Pineda is in the custody of the town’s police station./WDJ
