The Bacolod City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) will conduct its investigation on some job order (JO) employees of the city government listed on a piece of paper with two severed human hands.
CADAC coordinator, Retired Police Colonel Primitivo Tabujara said they are currently waiting for the documents and reports coming from the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) for them to launch their probe.
Tabujara said the persons on the list will undergo validation, and if any evidence suggests that a JO employee was involved in illegal drug activities, he or she would immediately face disciplinary action.
He also reminded not just the JO employees, but the entire workforce of the city government that any participation in illegal activities will not be tolerated.
Earlier on Wednesday morning, January 25, authorities recovered two severed human hands in a plastic container with sour beef stew or linâgâ in the city’s Barangay 2.
The container also included a list of 22 individuals who were allegedly involved in illegal drug activities.
Police Station 2 commander, Captain Jonito Pastrana said police had already talked to 12 of the 22 individuals on the list.
Some of those on the list later surfaced to the authorities admitting to the allegations and asking for help, fearing they could be targeted next.
Over the weekend, City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran said the recent criminal incidents are not ordinary, and are a big challenge to BCPO director, Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir./DGB, WDJ
