A man, believed to be suffering from a mental illness, was stabbed dead at Barangay Lemery’s Sitio Dao in Negros Occidental’s Calatrava town on Saturday morning, January 28.

Anjohmary Elarcosa, 30 years old, a resident of the said place, sustained stab wounds on his head, neck and left hand that led to his death.

In the initial police investigation, Aming Vaflor, 50 years old, also a resident of the place, allegedly stabbed Elarcosa.

The victim stabbed Vaflor last year, police said.

According to Elarcosa’s mother, Vaflor said that he would not stop until he took revenge on the victim./WDJ
